Interested in a commission?

This is how it works.

What is the inspiration for the work you want me to create? Are there important references or imagery that would help tell the story? Do you have a certain place in mind that you would like to display the work? Take a look around, is there something that here that inspires you?

Send me your ideas!

Just read through the process and go ahead and fill out the commission inquiry form below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I will get in touch with you can get as much information as possible before creating a design. The design will include hand drawn images, digital images, or other reference points. I will send this to you and discuss the different options and pricing.

Once you have approved the design, I will send a payment request for 50% of the total estimate.

I get to work! I will get in the studio and start making. I will keep in contact and updated with photos as the work progresses to make sure you are happy with the process.

Changes are possible at this stage, but that may effect the budget.

Once the piece is complete and you are happy with the result, I will send an invoice for the final payment and we can arrange shipping, pick up, or delivery.

FAQ about commissions

How do I get started?

Take a look around at my website or instagram. Think about what you want to say with the art work. Gather your inspiration; take some photos of the space you want to display the piece, your inspiration, and/or other artworks that may have a similar feel. Once you have an idea, submit a commission request and I will get back to you to make sure I have enough inspiration to make a quote. Once you have submitted the form, I will ask for some more information of what you have in mind, inspiration photos, and/or photos of the space you will display the piece.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a piece of art largely depends on the size, the colors and materials, and the complication of creation. Each piece is different, so it is hard to give a price immediately. Once you have submitted your commission request and I have enough information, I make an estimate. You can get an idea of pricing of different sized and complicated pieces in my shop. With a commission, each piece is unique and often rage between 2500€ and 25,000€.

how do we arrange payment?

After you have approved the design, you will be asked to pay in two installments — a 50% deposit in order to begin production and the remaining 50% at completion. If there are changes along the way that veer from the agreed upon design, the price may change - but we will talk about this throughout the process. Credit card, Bank Transfer, and Paypal are accepted forms of payment. If you are unable to begin the process because of financial limitations, reach out to me, I may be able to accept a monthly payment plan.

How long will it take before i have it?

Well, that greatly depends on what we are making, how big or complex it is, how fast I can get the materials, and how busy the studio is at the moment. I will be as transparent as possible about the timing and completion of your work, but in most cases it will take a minimum of 8 - 10 weeks from start to finish. Larger, more complex works may take much longer. If you have a specific date in mind, please let me know in the form!

How do i get the work?

Most smaller work will be shipped double boxed through UPS. Larger work will be crated in wood and shipped by a freight company. Once we have finished the piece, I can get a shipping quote to you. It is also possible for me to install the work for you; please let me know if that is something you are interested in. If you are nearby, you can definitely save on shipping fees if are interested to come to my studio in Gent and pickup the work yourself.
